Medicare is Helping
Medicare is willing to accelerate and advance payments based upon your past history. To qualify, you must have billed Medicare during the last 180 days and not be under current investigation. Small Business Loans
As part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, small businesses such as neurosurgery offices are eligible for loans, some of which are forgivable if you keep employees in the payroll through the crisis. To apply, go to covid19relief.sba.gov.

Employee Benefits Under the CARES ACT
In the event that you are forced to terminate or furlough employees due to the pandemic, you should let them know that they are entitled to up to $600 per week of federal aid in addition to any state unemployment benefits. Congress of Neurological Surgeons CNS is offering certain online education for free at this time - due to the cancellation of meetings and conferences where neurosurgeons, APPs, residents and students would typically learn The CNS is still working out the logistics of awarding CME for this but will hopefully be sorted out soon. Of special note - there were two online presentations recorded last Friday about COVID-19. One from the Mayo Clinic and the other from UCSF.
